Teenagers who take vows to hold off sex until marriage don’t actually follow through with those vows. In addition, they are also less likely to use a condom or birth control, according to a federal study.

In the study done they have found that more than half of all teens become sexually active whether they have taken vows to wait until marriage before sex. The study shows the that non-pledgers are more likely to use protection, whereas the pledged counterparts are not. The reason for this could be the fact they haven’t been exposed to as much sexual education due to their religious backgrounds, therefore they are less educated on the proper precautions to take whilst engaging is sexual activities.

This study was done to see exactly how effective abstinence programs really are. According to reports, the new administration might actually reconsider spending so much money on these programs after such lackluster findings on their effectiveness.

According to a blue-ribbon panel assembled by Congress, we are likely to see a biological terrorist attack somewhere in the world by 2013.

“The consequences of a biological attack are almost beyond comprehension. It would be 9/11 times 10 or a hundred in terms of the number of people who would be killed,” former Sen. Bob Graham said.

For example, the Flu virus that wiped out millions of people in 1918 for example.

Well all I can say is…an apple a day..keep ya health up.

Are you clean? (You might be less judgemental)

If so, studies show that you are less likely to judge someone harshly, says a new study by psychologist Simon Schnall of the University of Plymouth in England. According to his studies, to paraphrase, if you were juror in a criminal proceeding and you washed your hands right before delivering the verdict, you would judge to the criminal less harshly, than if you had not washed them. Finally, Schnall goes on to add that “someone may find it easier to overlook a political misdemeanor had they performed an action that made them feel ‘clean’ prior to casting their vote.” So I guess if you plan on being guilty for something then I suggest you start carrying a bottle of Germ-X!

History is Made….Barrack Obama wins Presidency! The President-elect is the first African-American to ever sustain himself as the President of the United States Of America. As we are all glad to see a change in the way things are going as far as politics. It goes without saying that true change remains to be seen and that we are living in a new time and a new world. In this new world we have seen a whole lot of good, some of it being technological advances and this election itself, on the other hand, are the evils. Those evils being the challenges we face in the near future such as the economy, which has hit a slump within the last couple of months. Along with the challenges we face abroad with other cultures and countries. These are all the issues that will plague our country as well as our new president within the near future. So it also goes without saying that we all have work to do individually and as a country, and even Mr. Obama know this!
